Bulldogs Lost Again

Paul Carey scored the game-winner on the powerplay in the second period and the Lake Erie Monsters took the measure of the Hamilton Bulldogs 3-2 on Saturday night in the American Hockey League (AHL).

Jamie MacQueen and Tomas Vincour contributed a goal each for Monsters (34-30-10), while Calvin Pickard realized 23 saves in the cage.

Petteri Nokelainen Michaël Bournival and responded in the second period for the Bulldogs (28-38-6). Robert Mayer stopped 18 shots in goal for AHL Montreal Canadiens.

Nokelainen has hit the target on the powerplay, while Bournival found the back of the net inferiority.
The Monsters scored a goal in six power play, against one success in five attempts for the Bulldogs.

The Bulldogs Shutout

Jeff Drouin-Deslauriers made 22 saves and the Houston Aeros blanked the Hamilton Bulldogs 2-0 on Sunday.

Dan DaSilva and Nick Petersen scored for the Aeros (36-24-10), who dominated the Bulldogs 22-10 in shots on goal in the first two periods. And they signed a third consecutive victory.

Robert Mayer has pushed 27 saves in the loss for Hamilton (28-36-6).

The Bulldogs are still last in the league, one point behind the Adirondack Phantoms.

Kristo Scored

The Bulldogs scored the first two and last two goals in a 4-2 victory over the San Antonio Rampage on Friday, while Danny Kristo garnered support in his first game in the American League.

Petteri Nokelainen and Patrick Holland scored for Hamilton in the first period. The purpose of Nokelainen was his first this season.

Kristo was an accomplice to the purpose of Alex Belzile scored the winning goal midway through the second and Nathan Beaulieu added an insurance goal late in the game.

Kristo, the second round pick of CH in 2008, completed his encounter with one.

Robert Mayer has blocked 36 shots for the Bulldogs while Brian Foster stopped 34 in the Rampage camp.

Greg Rallo and Colby Robak scored for San Antonio.

Charles Hudon Makes Waves

Charles Hudon scored his first goal in professional with 25 seconds left in the game to get a 2-1 win against the Hamilton Bulldogs of the Texas Stars on Saturday.

Hudon, the youngest player in the AHL, completed the play started by Patrick Holland and Joey Tenute. Dustin Tokarski turned aside 29 shots to collect the win.

The Stars opened the scoring on the powerplay in the second period. The Bulldogs tied the game when Holland grabbed his own rebound to thwart Cristopher Nilstorp midway through the third.

The Stars came out on top 30-22 in shots on goal.

Collberg’s Trying Out In Hamilton

The Swedish striker Sebastian Collberg will join the Hamilton Bulldogs.

Collberg not sign his first NHL contract, he gets rather a test with with Hamilton.

Drafted in the second round (33th selection) by the Canadiens in 2012, Collberg had six goals and three assists in 35 games with Vastra Frolunda HC in the Swedish Elite League.
